THE CEREC OMNICAM IS IN THE HOUSE!

Tuesday, March 26, 2013

We are proud and excited to introduce the newest arrival at Aria Dental Studio: The Cerec Omnicam!

The Cerec Omnicam is a CAD/CAM machine we use to capture a precise 3D image of your teeth, then design and produce highly esthetic and strong crowns, bridges, veneers, implant abutments & Inlays/onlays -while you are seated in our chair! ONE APPOINTMENT is all you need.

If we have made your Cerec 3D crown /veneer/ inlay or inlay in the past you are probably familiar Blue Cam attachment we used previously to scan your teeth to design the restorations. The Omni Cam is a smaller camera, does not require powder spray to create contrast and takes more precise live images of your teeth /arches and gums. The result: more comfortable appointments in even less time.
Here is a beautiful restoration we created for one of our patients today. The margins are beautiful - dental language for: it fits like a glove!

The crown was completed in one appointment and our patient was happy to be frozen only once and did not have to wait for his crown.not have to wait for his crown.

The tooth with the lage featureless filling had a root canal treatment and needs a Crown to protect it form fractures, as this patient enjoys munching on almonds (heard it on Dr Oz)... and also to give it some personnality...

That's the cool 3D scan of the prepared tooth...

The designed crown with occlusal markings (contacts with the opposing teeth)....

The Crown will be designed out of a block of solid Ceramic...

The crown after cementation...

The final product... It looks even better in person!

Wow you can't even tell there's a crown there - very natural. I guess if he wanted whiter teeth you'd be able to give him a lighter colour crown?

Can't even tell there's a crown, can you make lighter colours if someone wanted lighter teeth?
